Snowy Owl Takes Flight

The Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre supports and rehabilitates injured animals, including a recent find of a snowy owl by a caring individual in the community.  The Hilary Druxman team became involved with the PWRC by creating the Wild and Free necklace.  As a result of this collaboration, Hilary Druxman was graciously invited to release this magnificent creature back into the wild.

The owl, which had been found injured with a broken wing in November, was rehabilitated by Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and released off of Highway 59 at the floodway.  The Hilary Druxman team was honoured and delighted to be part of this ceremony.

If you find a sick or injured wild animal please call Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre at 204-510-1855 or drop it off at one their our drop off locations. Wild Birds Unlimited located at 11 Reenders Drive off Lagimodiere or the 24 hour vet located at 400 Pembina.
